Reconciliation is available prior to 5:15 p.m. liturgy unless our celebrant is out of town. It is also available by appointment. Please call 518-234-2892 to schedule.
Baptism Preparation
A Baptism Preparation Class is required of all parents prior to scheduling the reception of the sacrament. The classes take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. Dates for the preparation classes and Baptism will appear on the Parish Calendar. Baptisms usually take place monthly as needed, alternating between the Saturday 5:15 p.m. vigil liturgy and after the 8:30 a.m. liturgy on Sunday.
Marriage Preparation
Engaged couples are required to notify the parish of their intent to marry in the church at least SIX months before the date desired. If this is not a first marriage for either individual, ONE YEAR notice is required.
The couple has two options for marriage preparation:
Sacrament of the Sick
Please do not wait until death is imminent before contacting the parish to request the Sacrament of the Sick. “Last Rites” no longer exist as it is remembered from the days preceding Vatican II. You may receive the Sacrament of the Sick more than once as needed. It is always good to schedule the reception before scheduled hospitalization or surgery.
The sacrament is offered once in the spring and again in the fall for anyone who desires the sacrament. Those dates will appear on the Parish Calendar.
Sacramental Ministry to the Homebound
All parishioners who are homebound for any length of time may call the office (518-234-2892) to request a Communion Minister to bring Eucharist. Home visitors are also available for companionship.
